Archon Networks Web Design Terms of Service
This document states the terms and conditions of Archon Networks Web Development services.
Pricing & Payment Terms
Archon Networks, upon request from the customer, will discuss the price of a project. The initial quoted price is to be treated as a quote and not the final price. This is due to the possible changes to the design made by the customer or unforeseeable circumstances in which additional fees may apply. When the price of a project has increased, the customer will be notified for approval.
Before the initial developmental stages begin a nonrefundable deposit of 25% the quoted price must be paid to Archon Networks in which after payment Archon Networks’ Developers will begin the development process. Upon completion of the project the customer will then pay in full the price of the website minus the initial nonrefundable deposit.
Should the customer decide not to host with Archon Networks and the website uses Archon Networks designed software, then an additional $250.00 discounted license fee will be added to the final price.
Terms of Service
Archon Networks’ Web Development Service is broken down into four stages, Assessment, Layout, Content, and Testing. Before moving to the next stage the customer must approve and meet the requirements for each stage.
The customer will be notified when approval is required by preferred contact means, should the customer not contact Archon Networks with the approval to advance to the next stage within 48 hours after being contacted the project will then be placed on hold. If placed on hold, the projected completion date will be pushed back for however many days have passed until approval is acquired.
The first stage, the Assessment Stage, is where the Project Manager discusses the wants and desires of the customer, and from there begin the necessary tasks for the second stage, the Layout Stage. The Layout Stage is where Archon Networks’ Developers create the basic layout and navigation of the website. During this stage the customer will be contacted for feedback on the design and to inquire of any desired changes that might effect basic navigations and layout.
Before moving on to the Content Stage, the customer is required to provide all text and graphics to be used for the website. Upon completing this requirement the Content Stage will begin. During this stage the customer will be contacted for feedback on appearance and usability of the design and to inquire of any desired content changes. This is the final stage in which changes can be submitted.
The customer may change the design or content of the project when needed at anytime before the Testing Stage upon contact with the Project Manager. If the desired change affects the overall design of the website, such as but not limited to navigation, database integration, and/or dynamic scripting there will be a three week minimum extension to the project completion date.
The final stage, the Testing Stage, is where Archon Networks’ Developers and Debuggers will thoroughly test the website for any errors and insure the overall flow of the project. No changes are permitted to be made during the Testing Stage as this is the final stage before project completion.
Archon Networks requires that a design logo linked to the Archon Networks website be placed in a viewable area within the design. The customer may choose from a selection of logos to be used and may decide where in the pages they wish to have it placed.
Termination of Contract Clause
In the event that the customer’s project is canceled by either a breach of contract, customer request, or termination by Archon Networks then the project design will become the sole property of Archon Networks except for all customer provided content.
A $150.00 cancellation fee will be billed to the customer if the customer request termination of the project or the customer commits a breach in the contract with Archon Networks. Archon Networks reserves the right to terminate a customer’s project at its own discretion.
Age
The customer certifies that he or she is at least 18 years of age.
